Scholarship Application

Each year that Central Florida offers the Teacher Education trainings, our CFOC Chapter awards scholarships to deserving members to attend.  These scholarships are in honor and memory of Mary Gibson. We are fortunate this year to be able to offer a scholarship for each of the three levels courses this year.

Congratulations to Mary Anhalt for winning the 2016 Level I Mary Gibson scholarship!

Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Level I, II, and III Mary Gibson Scholarships. Please be sure to submit yours by Thursday, April 6 to be considered!

Mary Gibson Scholarship Fund

The Mary Gibson Scholarship Fund was established to honor the years of devoted service Mary contributed to the Central Florida Orff Chapter. Mary was passionate about offering a scholarship to CFOC members who wished to take the Orff Levels Courses of the AOSA Teacher Education program.

Fundraisers such as the boutique, raffles and donations make it possible for us to support this mission.

What is CFOC?

Central Florida Orff is a great place to create your own professional learning community! For just a few Saturdays throughout the year, you have the ability to refresh and renew yourself professionally and gain invaluable contacts with teachers who share your unique experiences as an educator.

CFOC is a guilt free way to work in some “you” time while gaining points for recertification. Set aside some time for “you” and have lunch with friends and fellow music teachers. Download with each other how you plan to implement ideas in your own situations and bounce new inspirations around with fellow attendees and continue the fun!

Why should I join?

This is the best deal in professional development!

Membership in the Central Florida Orff Chapter gives you access to an unbeatable professional development bargain. For a mere $12.50 per workshop, you receive training specifically designed to empower music teachers and their students. (Individual workshops are $30 each and $40 for the state conference)
